Will
Richards, much celebrated Northwest ceramicist, has an impressive
portfolio. His work has been featured in respected gallery shows
nation wide, publications such as the Portfolio of American Craft and
Star Trek the Magazine, March 2002 issue. His artwork is featured in on screen productions
such as Star Trek the Next Generation, Star Trek Voyager (the
television series), and Star Trek IV. Richards studied art and
received a BFA from the University of Minnesota in ceramics and
glass, and later went on to earn his MFA at the University of
Washington. His work includes panels for the wall, ceramic platters,
and mixed media sculptures of stoneware and constructed one-of-a-kind
parchment shades for both commercial and residential lighting. This
recent work is both stunning and functional.
We
are pleased to feature his work at Earthworks Bay Street Gallery.
